Cow Parsley

Hi! I've made a couple of VERY green cards, using green cardstock and stamping in deep green and white. I ink dusted some punched butterflies in light green, and added Stickles to the white flowers:

I might try another, but on blue card, so they look like they are against a deep blue sky.

I'm entering the first one on the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations:

Inkspirational Challenge:

Uniko Studio: "Anything Goes with the optional twist of a masculine card"

Watercolour Butterfly

Hi! Here's another flowery butterfly, this time inspired by the gorgeous image in the current Fusion Card Challenge. Instead of a blue butterfly on the flowers, I added the flowers to the butterfly:

This is the Fusion challenge inspirational photo - I LOVE the bright, summery colours!

I'm also entering the card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday: "Summer"

Sweet Stampin’: "Red Hot Summer"

Floral Butterfly

Hi! I've been working on a card inspired by the ColourQ challenge:

I used a butterfly stencil and ink dusters to create the background with the lighter blues, stamped the flower images, and then coloured the large flowers with a water brush. I added yellow gems to the large flowers and gold Liquid Pearls to the small ones, to introduce the yellow. Here's my card:

I'm also entering this into the Allsorts challenge: "Blue as the Ocean"

Pink Elephant Sketch

Hi! I've been making cards inspired by the Pink Elephant sketch:

I also used the colours from the Fab Friday challenge:

Here's what I came up with. I'm entering the first on in the Pink Elephant challenge, and the second one in the Fab Friday challenge:

Watercolour Flowers

Hi! I've made a couple of cards using my favourite flower stamp, and watercolouring with Adirondack inks.

I'm entering this first card into these two challenges:

Crafting When We Can: "Favourite Colour Combo" - Blues, greens and oranges are my favourite colours together at the moment!

I'm entering this second one into these challenges:

Less Is More:

City Crafter: "Use blue, green and a splash of red"

Summery Butterfly Swirls

Hi! Here's another swirly butterfly card, in hot summer colours, made with one of my favourite digis from the Pink Cat Studio:

The colours are inspired by the lovely colours in these two challenges:

Colour Me!:

The Paper Shelter:

Birthday Fishes

Ok, it's a bit of a silly card... but I was playing around with the stencil and then wasn't sure what to do with it. I cut out some rough fish shapes and they looked quite cute, so I printed out out the sentiments, ink dusted them and cut them out into fish shapes.

I'm entering this into the following challenges (I had to google 'nautical' to make sure it meant anything sea-related as well as boats, etc!):

CASology:

Come And Get It: "Cute Cards"

More Birds & Blossoms

Hi! I've made another card using the birds stamp:

This one was inspired by the sketch from Sketch Saturday:

And the colours from The Card Concept challenge, using a CAS style:

Birds & Blossoms

Hi! I have been trying to come up with a card that meets the criteria of 4 different challenges, and I have a lot of half-finished and discarded projects on and around my desk!

Here is my card:

I chose the layout based on the Case This Sketch challenge, which I have had a lot of difficulty with:

I was inspired by two colour challenges:

MFT Card Challenges:

Color Throwdown:

Fortunately the Color Throwdown challenge is to use any shade of blue, red and yellow, so I could make a card to fit both challenges! Although unfortunately the flowers in the photo of my card look more orangey - they are actually a deeper coral red.

The last challenge I was determined to make a card for is the CAS on Sunday challenge: "One Layer CAS". I find one layer cards quite difficult, but I am pleased with how this one turned out.

Can't get enough of my Birch Trees stencil!

Hi! Here's another card made with my recently purchased new favourite stencil! This time I have made a square card, and added 3 punched flowers to the corner. I used a silver pen to add detail to the trees.

When I started making the card, the shape of the trees made me think of the current Friday Mashup! sketch:

The challenge is to use the sketch, use 3 elements, or combine both. The trees make me think of the lines in the sketch, and the 3 elements I have added are the flowers, although they are in the bottom left corner, rather than at the top in the sketch, so the sketch has been loosely used...

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge: "Anything Goes"

Inky Butterflies

Hi! Inky Chicks have got a "Butterflies" challenge at the moment, so here's an especially inky card with some butterflies on it:

I used ink dusters over a stencil to create the background, and coloured the punched butterflies with ink dusters too, so give the colour that scratchy texture. I added gems to the butterflies for a bit of sparkle.

CAS Stencilling

Hi! I've been playing around with stencils, inspired by the Less Is More "Stencilling" challenge, but I've had a few problems keeping them CAS. I get over-enthusiastic with the inks and then end up with a card smothered in colours, and hardly any white space. I eventually came up with this one, which definitely has some white in it:

I'm also entering it into the following challenges:

Papertake: "Trio-tastic" - Stencilling, stamping, punches

Creative Inspirations: "Your Favourite!" - my favourite craft items at the moment are my ink dusters!

Autumn Colours

Hi! Just Us Girls has a challenge to use autumn colours:

The challenge ends later today, so I've been trying out a few things tonight, and have come up with this:

I used ink dusters and Adirondack inks through the trees stencil, used torn paper as a mask for the hills, and then stamped the images over the top. I added Stickles to her wings and to the flower heads, to add a bit of sparkle.

I'm also adding this into the following challenges:

My Time To Craft: "Fairies"

Sweet Stampin': "Bingo Board" (Flowers, Orange, Trees)

Color Throwdown Butterfly

Hi! I'm hoping I'll be just in time to enter a card in the Color Throwdown challenge. Here are the challenge colours:

I wasn't sure how to incorporate the grey, so I used a silver pen and added silver gems. Here's my card:

I'm also entering this card into the Corrosive Challenge : "Leave A Little Sparkle", because of the shiny silver and all the gems :)

More Birch Trees

Colour Q currently has a challenge to use colours:

I wasn't sure how to use these colours together, but decided to use my new birch trees stencil again. Here's what I came up with:

For the ground I used a gold metallic Sharpie, but added some Wink of Stella over the top to give it some sparkle.

Obsessed with my new stencil, I made another card, with more summery colours, stamped some daisies, and added gems to them to light them up.

I'm entering this one into the following challenges:

Allsorts: "Use a Stamp"

The Corrosive Challenge: "Leave a Little Sparkle"

Pink Gem Challenge: "Summer Time"

Damn it, stupid paste...

Simon Says Monday has a challenge that ends tomorrow "Don't cut, just paste!", and I've been fighting with embossing paste all day, trying to come up with something that isn't a smudged mess! All around my desk are half-abandoned attempts, smudges of paste, and stencilled paste that is still drying...

Anyway, the only card that actually got finished is this one:

I used clear embossing paste on Kraft card, with a butterfly stencil. Once the paste was dry I coloured the paste with distress inks, and then sponged grey around the edges of the image.
