Color Throwdown

Hi! Here's another card I made for the Color Throwdown challenge - absolutely love these colours! This image is another one from Crooked Little Studio. I coloured with inks and a water brush, and then went a little bit crazy with Nuvo Drops : Silver Lining

Flowers and Nuvo

Hi! Here's a card I made with a digistamp I bought recently from Crooked Little Studio. I was inspired by the colours at this week's Color Throwdown challenge :)

I coloured the flowers with Promarkers, and then added dots of white with a Uni Posco pen, and tried out my new Nuvo Drops - Copper Penny.

Cat in a Tree

Hi! Here's another card I made today, inspired by the colour challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. I used ink dusters to create the sky.

Before I Give the Borrowed Stamp Set Back...

Hiya! I borrowed the SU 'Wetlands' stamp set from my lovely mate Linda, and thought I'd make a couple more cards with it before I give it back! Here's one I made this morning, inspired by the current CAS Colours & Sketches colour challenge:

Wading Birds

Hi! A friend at work asked me to make a card for his girlfriend's birthday, with either a red panda or wading birds on it. I haven't got any red panda or wading bird stamps, and I couldn't find any suitable digistamps, so I borrowed the 'Wetlands' SU stamp set from my lovely mate Linda.

I used ink dusters to create the beach, sea and sky, and then stamped the birds and sea grass. I added a border to the scene and layered it onto white card with the sentiment printed on it. It didn't look very girly, so I added gems to the sentiments, and added a ribbon threaded with soapstone bird beads. I hope my friend's girlfriend will like it :)

On Your Wedding Day

Hi! My niece and her fella are getting married on Thursday! Here's a card I made for them:

I smothered the card with punched white flowers, and blinged them with some very sparkly Crystal Parade gems I got from the NEC Hobbycraft show.

Wishing you Sunshine & Adventures

Hi! Here's a card I made for my Nana. She was 90 years old last week, although she wouldn't thank me for telling anyone! That's why the card has no age on it...

Although her cycling days are over, my Nana used to love cycling all over the country with her dad and their cycling club, and her face lights up when she talks about those times. She has dementia now, and she doesn't always know who I am, but she remembers the old days, and I thought she might appreciate the sentiment on this card! She's also one of the happiest people I know, always singing. She is a little piece of sunshine.

The digistamp is from All Dressed Up, coloured with Promarkers. I added Stickles to the flowers for some sparkle. I punched some white flowers and coloured them to match her dress, and added gems. I used silver thread and silver daisy beads to the card backing the image.
